The National Home Watch Association defined Home Watch as “a visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues.” As Accredited Members of the NHWA, we abide by this definition and its application as we perform our inspections.

Plan A Home Watch is an insured, bonded and accredited Home Watch Company serving the Southeast Michigan area. We check your property and identify problems or potential problems that can occur while your property is vacant. We provide a physical presence that is not available through a remote alarm monitoring service.
Plan A Home Watch focuses in Oakland and Macomb Counties but specializes in Rochester, Rochester Hills, Oakland Twp, Bloomfield Twp, Bloomfield Hills, and Birmingham. We are more than willing to span outside of these areas if reasonable.
We are not a house sitter. Our core service includes periodic visits to your home where we follow a specific and mutually agreed upon checklist. We are in your home on a weekly, bi-weekly, or custom basis and take great pride in making sure your home is as you left it. We are often described as property watch professionals, estate management, residence overseer, supervisor, among many other things.
Many things can happen to your home in your absence: break-ins, water leaks, electrical issues, a sudden storm, to name just a few. Even if you have trusted neighbors or relatives nearby, having a professional acting on your behalf is a much more effective option. A Home Watch service provides you with peace of mind whenever you are away from your home. Plan A Home Watch will visually inspect all areas of your home in search of problems or issues. If a situation does arise, we will notify you immediately and remediate the problem along with you. An alarm company monitors entry into your home or fire alarms but they do not monitor potential problems that can occur due to broken pipes, mold, pests or vagrants. We identify those problems or the possibility of their occurrence and notify you for guidance.
If an emergency arises, we use our judgement to react quickly and appropriately.
Each home and homeowner has different needs. This requires an in-person consultation for us to see the size, location, and specific needs or wants in order to take the best care of your home.
We would love to hear from you and answer any questions, and schedule a consultation.
